The OOF Participation Model

Stay independent.
Market stronger together.

OOF gives expert carpet cleaners a way to build collective marketing strength without surrendering the brands, relationships, and freedom they worked so hard to create.

Most single-truck carpet cleaners chose independence for a reason. They wanted to control the quality of the work, the experience their customers receive, and the direction of the business carrying their name.

That independence is not a weakness OOF intends to correct. It is one of the main strengths OOF is designed to protect.

Independence should not mean isolation

A great owner-operated company may have decades of experience, excellent reviews, advanced training, and a level of personal accountability that a larger operation cannot easily duplicate. Yet online, that same company may be represented by one modest website competing against organizations with many locations, large advertising budgets, and entire marketing departments.

The problem is not that the independent cleaner lacks expertise. The problem is that expertise and marketing power are not the same thing.

OOF is built on a simple idea: independent businesses can combine selected marketing efforts without combining their businesses.

Bring Your Own Brand

OOF calls this Bring Your Own Brand. Members keep their company names, websites, phone numbers, pricing, service areas, operating methods, and customer relationships. OOF does not become the business standing in front of the homeowner. It helps the right homeowner discover the member’s business.

OOF is therefore not a franchise system and not a program for making every cleaner look alike. The goal is cooperation in carefully chosen areas of marketing—not uniformity in the way members run their companies.

Your decisions

You continue choosing your equipment, methods, prices, services, schedule, and business direction.

Your brand

OOF supports the reputation you have already built instead of replacing it with a shared consumer brand.

Your customers

Visitors are directed toward your page, your website, and your contact information—not sold as shared leads.

United by standards, not sameness

Members will not agree on every cleaning product, machine, business policy, or technical detail. Nor should they. Experienced professionals often arrive at different solutions because their markets, specialties, and customers are different.

What brings OOF members together is a higher professional standard: substantial experience, pride in workmanship, strong customer care, ongoing learning, sound business practices, and a desire to serve quality-minded homeowners.

That common standard gives the alliance meaning. The individuality of each member gives it credibility.

Independent by choice. Stronger by alliance.

That is the participation model behind Owner Operators First.
